Directions to the Shasta Kart Klub.

The Kart Track is located on the northeast grounds of Redding Airport, at the end of the Redding Drag Strip but is NOT accessible from the Redding Airport Terminal area.

Directions: (See additional directions below) NOTE: DO NOT DRIVE DOWN THE DRAG STRIP WHEN GOING TO THE TRACK. PLEASE USE THE RETURN ROAD ONLY.

From I-5, take the Churn Creek/Bechelli Av. exit. Go East. After you cross the bridge over Churn Creek(~0.5 mile), take the third left onto Rancho Rd. Go straight at the traffic light at the intersection of Rancho Rd. and Airport Rd. Take the first right and then follow the road to the dirt road that leads into the drag strip. From the South Take I-5 North to Knighton Rd. Exit. (5 miles passed Prime Outlets stores in Anderson). Turn Right at stop sign. (see TA Travel Center on right). Go East for about 2 miles to Airport Rd. (new extension to Redding Airport Terminal). Turn Left at light. Go North about 2 miles to traffic light at Rancho Rd. (76 station on left) Turn Right. Go .03 miles to a ‘T’, Old Oregon Trail. Turn Right at stop sign. This country road goes about 1.5 miles, with a zig to the Left and zag to the Right, then straight ahead to the outer gates. From the North Take I-5 South to Rt. 44 East Exit. Go East to Airport Road Exit (about 2 miles). Turn Right at stop sign. Go South about 1.5 miles to traffic light at Rancho Rd. (76 station on right) Turn Left. Go .03 miles to a ‘T’, Old Oregon Trail. Turn Right at stop sign. This country road goes about 1.5 miles, with a zig to the Left and zag to the Right, then straight ahead to the outer gates. (see Jim & I Aviation on right).

From Redding Convention Center Take Auditorium Dr. to leave grounds. Go over bridge to Park Marina Dr. Turn Left at light. Turn Left onto ramp and merge onto Rt. 299 East. Rt. 299 East becomes Rt. 44 East. Go East to Airport Road Exit (about 3 miles). Turn Right at stop sign. Go South about 1.5 miles to traffic light at Rancho Rd. (76 station on right) Turn Left. Go .03 miles to a ‘T’, Old Oregon Trail. Turn Right at stop sign. This country road goes about 1.5 miles, with a zig to the Left and zag to the Right, then straight ahead to the outer gates. From Shasta County Fair Grounds Take Briggs St. to Rt. 273. Turn Right onto Rt. 273. Go .03 miles to North St. Turn Left. Go 1.6 miles on North St. and it becomes Airport Rd. Go 4.5 miles on Airport Rd., to traffic light at Rancho Rd. Turn Right (76 station on left). Go .03 miles to a ‘T’, Old Oregon Trail. Turn Right at stop sign. This country road goes about 1.5 miles, with a zig to the Left and zag to the Right, then straight ahead to the outer gates. (see Jim & I Aviation on right).
